It is already twenty years that the Kompek bakery in Kladno has been baking products for you according to traditional and time-proven recipes, which are liked by both local people and people from further away. However, the Škuthan and Nozar families have not always owned the bakery and they, therefore, could not participate in its development. This family tradition is connected to important events in the history of the town of Kladno and the Czech country as a whole. Thanks to the convenient location near the capital city of Prague and in the picturesque Central Bohemian Region, a bakery, a mill and a factory for the production of pasta and gingerbread started their operation in Kladno in 1921. Yes, even these regional specialities were made in Kladno. In the past, all these productions belonged under the former Velkonákupní společnost družstev v Praze (Cooperative Wholesale Society in Prague). The individual factories of the Society were scattered throughout the country. Thanks to a railway track which led directly to the production plant, all products from Kladno could be transported to all other points of sale. It was a great tragedy, therefore, when in 1969 the mill next to the bakery burnt down. At that time the entire plant was owned by the state company of Středočeské pekárny a cukrárny (Central Bohemian Bakeries and Confectionery Plants). Neither the state company nor our families have managed to reconstruct the mill. Since 1 April 1994, when our families took over the bakery, we have, however, achieved many changes, successes and modernizations. In particular, we have managed to preserve the traditional production using original recipes. We also constantly develop and innovate all individual operations, which include the old bakery, where we bake your bread and rolls, as well as the pastry production plant and the confectionary plant. The confectionary plant does not know any restrictions and it can meet all wishes of our customers regarding the shape, taste and size of cakes and gateaux. State organizations with their offered subsidies have been of great help to us. Thanks to their help we have achieved several innovations which contribute to a higher quality of technologies and services of our bakery. In this anniversary year, we have also undertaken the most visible change and this is the change of our logo. We are trying to keep up with the time and with current trends. Nevertheless, what we do not change is our emphasis on tradition, quality and family values. Our most important aim is that our shining logo keeps making people smile and that you continue to be always satisfied. We believe that together we will achieve this thanks to our excellent fresh baked goods and high-quality services. Work can hardly bring a better feeling than the one we have, knowing that for twenty years our products have been frequently served on your tables, and we will do our best to continue in this tradition... We are looking forward to your reactions. The Nozar and Škuthan families. |
